Wand and how to get
At the start of the game, we will be able to use other people’s Wand. But after that we’re given the quest to go out and buy your own one at Mr. Ollivanders’ shop in Hogsmeade Village. We can choose the type of wand we want from the shape, type of wood, length, flexibility and core of the wand.
Customizing the Wand
As said before, Wands can be fully customized to your liking, style, shape and color without affects to the power of the wand. We can choose the look of the Wand from simple to classic, lightly threaded twine wrapped around wood. decorate with ring around the handle and much more. Each shape comes in 3 colors to choose from but most of them are gray and brown tones.
Type of Wand
There are 38 different types of wood used to create Wands, which are for beauty and not affecting the use.
Wand Length
We can choose lengths between 9.5 inches (24 cm.) and 14.5 inches (37 cm.) that can choose the flexibility of the wood too.
Wand Core
The Core of the Wand is what makes it effective. There are 3 options in total.
- Unicorn Tail Hair: Casts spells consistently.
- Phoenix Feather: Can cast a variety of spells.
- Dragon Heartstring: Cast powerful spells.
Although in the game it says that it affects the casting of spells, it actually doesn’t affect the casting of spells in the game that much. And it’s just passion and fashion.
Can we change the Wand in Hogwarts Legacy?
Once you have selected your wand, you can go back to the shop and customize as you want because in the game there are 42 Wands waiting for you to unlock! Here, you can choose the Wand you like and suits you as you please.
