In Hogwarts Legacy, it’s not just magic that allows us to fight powerfully and efficiently. Potion making is another interesting one to helps us immensely in the wizarding world and Hogwarts school life. Which we can learn and find ingredients by ourselves. Today we’re going to introduce you to the alchemy classes, recipes, and abilities of each potion!
Table of Potions
In Hogwarts, there are many different potions to use and each one has its own amazing effect. Finding potion recipes and ingredients may not be as easy as a piece of cake and it may take some time. But said that it was definitely worth it when it available to use.
How do we start “making potions”?
We will be able to start learning potion making from the main story. When we were assigned the potion class with Professor Sharp. During this time we will have to use the alchemy classroom to make the potion first. Until the Room of Requirement can be unlocked from Professor Weasley’s Quest, only then will we be able to make potions as freely as we have recipes!
Where to find recipes for making potions?
Various potion recipes can be obtained from Master Sharp’s Poision Classroom Main Story Quest, and some recipes can be purchased from J Pippin’s Potions Shop in Hogsmeade Village.
And what about the ingredients and Where to find it?
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world game, so we can find various materials from every corner of the game. Especially within the Forbidden Forest area where there were a lot of medicinal ingredients. We recommend collecting everything you find because you didn’t know when to make potions to use In addition, the ingredient item storage can store a lot. Don’t be afraid of overflowing items like gear slots!
And of course, J Pippin’s Potions and The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade Village are also great places to buy ingredients too.

Introducing the potion and how to use it
Although there are not many uses. But there are potions that are worth using. We highly recommend these 3 potions that any wizard should have with them at all times.
Wiggenweld Potion is used to restore health. that should be available for use without running out of hands. We can learn to make this potion from the Main Quest by learning the first potion class. It can be enhanced by upgrading Core Talents “Wiggenweld Potency 2” to provide potion for more healing amount.
Thunderbrew Potion, the potion that can be called “good stuff”, can be used by both beginner wizards and seasoned veterans alike. with the ability to summon lightning strikes AoE damage and is also a shield to protect us too. Recipes can be purchased from J Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade Village.
Maxima potion is another potion that we highly recommend because it’s very useful in battle. It greatly increases spell damage, but it has a limited time. The potion recipe was relatively cheap and didn’t take long making them. Recipes can be purchased from J Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade Village.
