Back in school, the first thing wizards should learn is magic. In Hogwarts Legacy, there are 34 spells for us to use, including Basic Spells. Combat Spells, General use spell to the forbidden curse. Most of them can be obtained by playing storylines or Quests. Except for some special spells that can only be unlocked through side Quests.
When we can unlock all the spells, we get the trophy and Achievement “The Spell Master”. There is no need for the Unforgivable Curse to get the achievement. But to say that those curse wouldn’t be that necessary. But for witches and wizards, it can’t be missed anyway. The more the game system is not prohibited to use. the more you can’t miss it! And here is a list of all the spells that we can use and how to unlock them within the game.
Hogwarts Legacy Spell
Essential Spells

Protego | Prevent various attacks, both attacks from spells, weapon attacks, etc. If Protego is cast at the time, it will cause “Perfect Protego” to damage the attacker. Reflect back damage and destroy the enemy’s shield. | Automatically unlocked From the Main Story Quest “The Path to Hogwarts”. |
Stupefy | Stuns/paralyses enemies. Can be combined with the Protego spell to destroy the enemy’s magic shield. (except Hard difficulty) | Automatically unlocked From the Main Story Quest “The Path to Hogwarts”. |

Petrificus Totalus | Bind the enemy. But in the case of an extremely strong enemy, it can only deal a small amount of damage or get out of shackles faster than usual. | Automatically unlocked From the Main Story Quest “Secrets of the Restricted Section”. |

Force Spells

Accio | Summon an object or enemy to come near. The heavier the summoned object’s weight, the more magic it requires. When the summoned object comes close Automatically activates the Wingardium Leviosa spell. | Automatically unlocked From the Main Story Quest “Charms Class”. |
Depulso | Push, turn or repel many objects and enemies at once. While not a direct damage spell, but if objects or enemies bump into each other, they can take damage. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1”. |
Descendo | Temporarily causes an object or enemy to fly up. and then slammed to the ground to take damage. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Onai’s Assignment”. |
Flipendo | Flip an object or enemy backwards and make them float up. It has a short cooldown. Great for solving puzzles or taking on enemies by surprise. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2”. |
Damage Spells

Confringo | Summons lightning strikes from a distance, dealing shock damage and deals fire damage over 2-3 seconds, at the same time causing an incendiary explosion. | Unlocked from the Quest “In the Shadow of the Undercroft”. |
Diffindo | Deals massive damage by slashing objects or enemies from a distance. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2”. |
Expelliarmus | Disarm from enemies. Deals damage to all enemies even without holding a weapon. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 2”. |
Bombarda | Deals heavy damage with explosions. Destroy large obstacles and attack surrounding enemies. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Howin’s Assignment”. |
Incendio | Summons a burst of fire around you dealing damage in a short circle. and may cause objects or enemies to continue to ignite for a few seconds. | Unlocked from the Quest “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1”. |
